RePlay at Muse: How to Make and repair (Almost) Anything

Fablabs are places of making, but also of repair. Through a series of online meetings we will show how the tools available in the over 2000 fablabs that exist in the world can be used not only to create new objects but also to repair broken products. Meetings will be held online every third Tuesday of the month from 6-7pm. During the workshops we will work with free software that does not require installation.

Hack the stuff
Electrical and electronic products are often thrown away because they are not up to date. But is it possible to "hack" old products to make them modern? During this appointment we will see how to transform an old lamp into a "smart light" that can be controlled via app and Telegram.

But how to detect faults in electrical and electronic products? An indispensable tool is the tester, and we will learn how to make the best use of it during our repair work.

E-WASTE is the fastest growing waste in the world. Every year in Italy we produce around one million tonnes of electronic waste, almost 16 kg per person, of which only 36% is properly recycled. With friends from other Italian FabLabs we will try to understand how the tools in the labs can be used to resurrect the technological products we love so much.
